Businesses Continue to Bet on Fort Worth’s Clearfork

The Shops at Clearfork seems to be some kind of hot business magnet.

Nine years after its opening, The Shops at Clearfork has continued its hot momentum, turning its polished, open‑air blocks into a center for vibrant businesses that thrive on energy and foot traffic. With luxury anchors, chef‑driven dining, and a growing mix of market‑exclusive retailers, the Clearfork district has become one of Fort Worth’s most dynamic zones of commerce.

Tenants are now signing for The Offices at Clearfork, The Shops at Clearfork’s new three‑story, 70,000‑square‑foot building. This newest addition was announced last year as a part of The Shops at Clearfork.

Building a Mixed-Use Destination

The Shops at Clearfork, a Simon property, opened in 2017 as a polished, open-air commercial center. The development set the tone for high-end brands when iconic Texas retailer Neiman Marcus was announced as its anchor retailer. The mixed‑use district blends retail, dining, entertainment, public green space, residential, and office space. It all comes with direct connections to the Trinity Trails through walking and biking paths.

Nine years later, the progress there seems to be only midstride. According to the development’s website, Clearfork is a multi‑phase project that eventually will include two million square feet of office space, 1.2 million square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment, and 2,500 residential units. Plans call for additional multifamily and retail space, along with senior living spaces and a hotel.

And among the first to sign up for The Offices at Clearfork is Piattello Italian Kitchen, moving from Fort Worth’s Waterside after almost 10 years located there. The restaurant owned by chef Marcus Paslay will be the anchor tenant on the ground floor of The Offices at Clearfork. Paslay announced the move last week, and he’s excited about the new spot.

“It really boils down to co-tenancy and the energy there,” he said. “It’s got a lot of traffic, and we mesh with it better.”

Piattello is just one in a line up in Paslay’s From Scratch Hospitality restaurant group. The enterprise began with Clay Pigeon Food & Drink in 2008, and since then Paslay has rolled out Piattello Italian Kitchen, Provender Hall in the Stockyards and Walloon’s Restaurant on the Near Southside.

Chef Marus Paslay, proprietor of From Scratch Hospitality, is bringing his Piattello’s Italian Kitchen to The Offices at Clearfork.

Piattello will join a tenant roster that already includes luxury retailers, restaurants, and office users. The anchor business tenant at the new office building has been announced as Wells Fargo. In addition to Neiman Marcus, other luxury retailers at Clearfork’s mix include Burberry, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, and Design Within Reach, along with market‑exclusive brands such as Tory Burch, Tommy Bahama, and TUMI. These high‑end names help define The Shops at Clearfork’s upscale identity and continue to anchor its growing mix of premium businesses. The center’s established collection of restaurants includes favorites such as Rise nº1, Mesero, B&B Butchers & Restaurant, and Press Café.

Hot Spot

The newly announced office project, set to be completed in the second quarter of 2026, will feature a dedicated boutique office lobby and free parking for tenants. It also sits within a five‑minute drive of I‑20, I‑30 and I‑35, offering strong regional connectivity. Already in operation is

“It gives us a great opportunity for our regular guests,” Pasley said, adding that the restaurant’s redesign will include opening for lunch, yet much of the restaurant’s menu will not change. The new location, he thinks, will allow him to expand his clientele in this new location because of the established popularity of The Shops at Clearfork.

“I like what they’ve done so far with that development, knowing who’s behind it and the long-term vision,” Paslay said.
