I’m not sure anything beats penthouse living.

Sit on the terrace with a nice glass of champagne. Look out over unimpeded skyline views, and your cares will drift away with the clouds. It’s like a little slice of heaven.

There are not many penthouses available in Dallas, so it’s always a treat to get a look inside whenever one hits the market. Every condo has its perks, but at 28 stories, The House in Victory Park has a few things other condos do not.

It Was Designed by The One And Only Philippe Starck

Yes, it was designed by the same internationally renowned French architect who brought us the iconic Starck Club. He is undoubtedly a genius, designing everything from furniture to restaurants and hotels. His experience in the hotel industry was an excellent match for The House Dallas project in 2008.

Jane Cameron was a senior designer at Yoo Ltd. in London who was tasked with bringing Starck’s sketches to life along with Elkus Manfredi Architects from Boston and Dallas architects WDG.

The idea of ‘The House’ was to bring resort/hotel living to multi-residential living. This is evident in the facility located on the 5th-floor level, which comprises of an expansive terrace that includes a pool, private cabanas, sun lounges, an orchid, and a private dog park; with indoor areas comprising an owner’s lounge with a pool table and library, a fitness center, and a boardroom. This is all enjoyed with a fantastic city view of Dallas. This level alone is a good enough reason for anyone choosing to live at ‘The House.’

The Location

There’s no hotter spot than Victory Park right now. You can walk to American Airlines Center and the House of Blues, as well as many restaurants and shops. If you love a walkable neighborhood, it does not get better than Victory Park.

The Penthouse

This is penthouse living at its best because Chad Dorsey and More Design+ Build got in on the proverbial ground floor.

The penthouse has three bedrooms, and four bathrooms, and comes with two parking spaces and a garage space.

“We designed the penthouse before anyone moved into the building, so we could more easily customize it for our client,” Dorsey said. “It’s unique in many ways. For instance, at 4,857 square feet, it has more floor area than any other unit in the building. There is a living area that was designed by an acoustic engineer so that it can be used as a media room. The property has hemlock hand-cut flooring, Dornbracht fittings, Marmorino Venetian plaster, and hand-painted wall coverings. It’s a classic modern that will look good 50 years from now. It’s so cool to see the city from every vantage point with four terraces and the Trinity River from the western terrace. The sunsets are incredible.”
