Who can deny people want to get close to the Dallas Cowboys?

Well, sports purists might argue that the Super Bowl drought is too long, so there’s that. Some might not like the team’s off-season headlines.

But the Cowboys are providing payoffs for Frisco. For one, The Star in Frisco, the Cowboys’ headquarters, is an attraction. For two, the Cowboys brand is seemingly bringing in development.

The latest development is the 300-unit Casey at Frisco Station, which is planned on Gridiron Road in Frisco Station. Hillwood has broken ground on the five-story apartment complex in the $1.8 billion, 242-acre mixed-use Frisco Station development west of the Dallas North Tollway.

The first apartments are scheduled to be open in the fall of 2023 with units ranging from 513 to 1,375 square feet.

Mark McHenry, managing director of Hillwood Multifamily said in a statement that residents are looking for “options that accommodate work-from-home solutions with robust technology infrastructure, coupled with nearby lifestyle and recreational amenities.”

That aptly describes the area.

The Casey at Frisco Station will include conference rooms, electric vehicle charging stations, a fitness center, a library that overlooks the resort-style pool, and a bike storage room. Select units will also include built-in desks, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, and private patios/balconies.

Apartments will feature Dwelo Smart Home Technology, allowing app-based control of locks, thermostats, lighting, and entertainment.

Designed by JHP Architecture, The Casey will be the third apartment development for Hillwood in Frisco Station. In 2018, Hillwood opened its 300-unit Station House. In September 2021, Hillwood also opened the 322-unit Cadence apartments.

Big things are ahead for Frisco Station, and there is room to grow west of the development.

Upon completion, Frisco Station plans to feature

  • 2,400 units of urban living residential
  • 30-acre programmed park system
  • 55-acre corporate campus
  • Dining, shopping, and entertainment district
  • 3 million square feet of mid- and high-rise office space
  • 34 acres of health, wellness, and medical facilities.

Now, if only the football team can start winning Super Bowls again.
