Create a Sexy Home For Valentine’s Day by Titillating Your Senses

The lobby of The Azure sets the tone for this building — sexy, and luxurious.

Feeling sexy is a state of mind. Right Said Fred was too sexy for his love. He was too sexy for Milan, New York, and Japan. He was also too sexy for a party, disco dancing, his shirt, his hat, and his cat. He was also too sexy for his car by far. Eventually, he was too sexy for the song and it ended abruptly.

Whether the man was indeed too sexy for all those items is debatable but we can all agree that he truly felt sexy.

However, feeling sexy is not the same as actually being sexy. Being sexy requires wonderful lighting, embracing rich colors or textures or having sleek lines mixed in with voluptuous curves just to name a few. They are not all requisites but they do not hurt.

Now, our homes are no different. They too can be sexy beasts just like their owners. They just need a little bit of help reaching their maximum sexiness.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, CandysDirt.com thought we would take a tour of some homes that exude sexiness.

Appeal to The Sense of Touch

Our first stop takes us to Miami Beach, Florida. The bedrooms in this home are both inviting and relaxing.

The addition of the mirror adds a playful nature to the primary suite.
The decorative accents bring out the sensuality of the couch.

The warm color chosen for the bedrooms allows you to settle down after a day spent romping at the beach. You will not be able to stop yourself from curling your toes in the ultra-soft rugs or compulsively running your hands over the sensual fabric chosen for the couches. Sexy is the name of the game in these bedrooms. Add some high-thread-count sheets and you up the sexy factor by 100.

Sexy is in The Eye of The Beholder

Our next home stop is in Tiburon, California.

The living room and dining room share the same view as Mother Nature beguiles whether you are entertaining guests or breaking bread with your significant other.

Mother Nature will bring all the color this room needs with those incredible West Coast sunsets.
Dinner and a show as you dine with your beloved.

What can be more provocative than entertaining guests or sharing a meal with your love as Mother Nature entices you with the anticipation of what the night will bring? You will undoubtedly hear the sweet hissing sound as the sun hits the water. There are very few things in this world sexier than a West Coast sunset. Your eyes will not be able to keep up with the multitude of vibrant colors. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the glow.

Intimacy is The Key to Having a Sexy Kitchen

We cruise up Hwy. 1 on our way to Kirkland, Washington, for the next stop of our sexy home tour.

The kitchen allows for maximum intimacy.

An intimate dinner for two is a must in this incredible room.

Sexy is definitely on the menu as you whip up something special with your partner in this intimate kitchen. Fleeting glances as you accidentally brush up against one another is just the build to the romantic dinner you will have in this cozy, warmly lit dining room. Your desire for each other will definitely build as you whisper sweet nothings to each other over dessert

The Penultimate of Sexy

The last stop on the tour is located in New York, New York. This penthouse sits atop the 96th floor along Park Avenue and encompasses the absolute ideal of a sexy home.

Bold colors and incredible views maximize desirability.

Fortune favors the bold or so it has been said. This penthouse proves it true. Embracing bold colors shows you are risqué and unapologetic. You announce to the world that you are passionate and have no qualms asking for and getting what you want. In the end, it is those qualities that have gotten you to the penthouse suite overlooking the entire city. The room and the view are absolutely gorgeous.

Champagne and strawberries anyone?

The tub combined with the view is the most sensuous part of this house. Champagne chilling in the ice bucket along with a bowl of strawberries are the only things missing from this picture.

Watch the Empire State Building turn its lights red on Valentine’s Day.

Imagine gentle caresses and giggling to inside jokes as you look out on New York City on Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart. The two of you will have a front-row seat to watching the Empire State Building turn red in honor of the day of love. If that is not l’amour then I do not know what is.

And now, because I am too sexy for this column, I am abruptly ending it here.

Champagne and strawberries… and a dab of chocolate (after all, I’m fasting…) in the tub! In NYC on top of the world!

Candy, you absolutely cannot fast in a tub like that with champagne, strawberries and chocolate all within reach. It would be unseemly. ha ha ha
