Our Sunday Best… Open Houses for This Weekend

Are you the cautious type? Maybe you’ve wanted to participate in this region-wide game of musical homes we have going on, but you’re afraid you’ll be left standing when the music stops. That is always a possibility – if you don’t have an experienced agent at your side to help present the best offer at the best time. Perhaps you just got to the area and you want in – STAT. Yes, the market is tight, but there are still homes out there to choose from. Hence this post!

Now that school is (mostly) out, and COVID cases are on the decline, summer selling season is picking up… well, that is if it ever let up from last summer.  To be in a home before school starts back in August, now is the time to act and here are three Dallas-area homes for your consideration. All three are open on Sunday.

4012 Rawlins Street

3 Bedrooms | 2.1 Baths | 3,150 sq. ft.

Open 1 to 3 p.m.

Sometimes HOA dues can be a dealbreaker on an otherwise perfect place. Not so here. This immaculate single-family detached home in an exclusive gated community has low quarterly dues. Inside, hand-scraped hardwoods add distinction to the entire first floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room create a light and bright atmosphere with patio doors opening to the garden. The island kitchen provides ample space for prepping and is equipped with built-in appliances including Sub-Zero. The primary suite offers a second fireplace, sitting area and Hunter Douglas shades, and the bath includes a jetted tub and large walk-in closet.

Offered by Courtney Petruska for $749,000.

4524 Emerson Avenue #2

4 Bedrooms | 3.1 Baths | 2,220 sq. ft.

Open 2 to 4 p.m.

Does an investment opportunity sound good right about now? This single-family attached home, which just had a price improvement, is one of the best values available in HPISD right now! With room enough for all, this three-story University Park townhome is in a fantastic location close to Highland Park High School and Bradfield Elementary. On the first floor is a private bedroom and bath for guests or grumpy teens who need their space. On the main level is an updated kitchen with white cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, which opens to the spacious dining and living area with gleaming hardwoods and a fireplace. On the top floor is the primary suite and two bedrooms with an adjoining full bath on the third floor. It also offers an easy-access two-car garage and incredible storage.

Offered by Jane Gordon for $699,000.

2468 Pinebluff Drive

3 Bedrooms | 2 Baths | 1,770 sq. ft.

Open 1 to 3 p.m.

2-4-6-8, here’s one you’ll appreciate! Nestled in the sought-after Claremont neighborhood of East Dallas, this home has been thoughtfully updated to enhance its original charm and character. The rear living room is a true retreat with an electric fireplace framed by a custom mantle. Repurposing is a theme in this home – the built-in desk and shelves, highlighted by ambient lighting, were given new life from the home’s original, solid wood cabinetry, unmatched by today’s standards. Off the living room, the adjacent art studio is flooded with light and would serve as a great home office or sun room. The backyard is equipped for year-round entertaining with a fire pit, gravel seating area, recently stained privacy fence, abundant parking space and mature shady trees.

Offered by Jeremy Whiteker for $369,000.

It went under contract over the weekend and if so the open house might have been canceled. it’s the crazy market!
