oak lawn heightsNestled on the west side of Dallas’ vibrant Oak Lawn area is a delightful enclave of cottages and Tudor-revival homes in the area’s  Oak Lawn Heights neighborhood. This is the largest single-family neighborhood in Oak Lawn, and it was developed in the 1920s.

Our Thursday Three Hundred at 5114 Bradford Dr. is a 1935 Tudor with 1,674 square feet, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It has many hallmarks of the Tudor revival style, from its stucco exterior with half-round arches to a steeply pitched, asymmetrical roofline.

It was listed Feb. 8 by Ryan Booth with Ebby Halliday, Realtors, for $349,900. There’s an open house from 2-4 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, this Sunday, Feb. 14. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to fall in love with this Oak Lawn Heights Tudor.

The staging of the home is fantastically done—it feels like an interior designer showroom and shows off flow and function well. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and granite counters, and the bathrooms are updated, as well. Bedrooms feel spacious, and there’s abundant light throughout the cottage from the windows.

The backyard is well-planned, with a stone patio, firepit with seating area, a lovely mature tree, and wood privacy fence.

Well it does not over use the 90’s beige, I’d call this Monochrome?

I think the inside is fine. It’s the outside paint job that looks like a cracked sidewalk. Why????

I agree with The_Overdog about the exterior. Looks like someone just filled a paint sprayer and aimed. Accent bricks around the front door are unseen and any detail has been obliterated. Awful. Thank goodness the exterior wasn’t painted brown or there would be a different description of that result!

The home is under contract. Let’s hope the new owner sandblasts the exterior.

The home has a great flow throughout, and the kitchen cabinetry does well with the look and feel of the wooden flooring.
