Buckner Terrace Beauty is a Must-See | CandysDirt.comBuckner Terrace is one of the few East Dallas neighborhoods where you can find a gorgeous house for under $300K. Our Tuesday Two Hundred is proof of that.

Located at 2656 Dorrington Dr., this open-concept contemporary home is a recent renovation that gets it totally right. The clean lines and distinct interior will immediately catch your eye, especially the modern kitchen.

This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,872 square feet on one story, built in 1964. It just hit the market, so let’s take a look before a lucky buyer snatches it up.

This home is located near Ferguson Road and Lakeland Drive, in the northern most point of Buckner Terrace. It’s close to White Rock Lake, the Dallas Arboretum, and other East Dallas amenities. It’s just seven miles from downtown, too. But unlike many of its close neighbors, Buckner Terrace is still quite affordable.

Part of the recent renovations on this house created killer curb appeal. The entire exterior of the home is freshly painted and landscaped, and there’s also custom woodwork and a new contemporary front door. This house really stands out.

Inside, it’s spacious and bright, with lots of on-trend details, like in the dining room with that mod industrial light fixture and niche for a bar cart. Thoughtful details. The dining room and living room are one large room, with a brick fireplace at the end. Flanking the fireplace are built-in bookshelves painted a medium gray, keeping with the soothing, neutral color palette of the home. Hardwood floors flow through these areas, and into the kitchen and bedrooms, creating a sense of flow.

About that kitchen: fabulous space! It’s open to the living-dining rooms and offers a large island, concrete counters, glass tile backsplash, European-style flat front white cabinets, contemporary brushed silver pulls, and a white farm sink. Stainless steel appliances include a gas cooktop and industrial-style vent hood.

Just off the living-dining rooms is a sunroom with beautiful views of the backyard and back terrace, as well as a skylight and lots of windows.

The attractive master bedroom suite was recently upgraded, with a fantastic ensuite bathroom. It features a large frameless glass shower, dual sinks, two closets, faux bois floor tile that’s totally of the moment, design wise. The other bedrooms are good sized and the second bathroom is updated with shiplap accents and a new vanity and sink.

In back, there’s plenty of grassy green space, a brick terrace, and mature landscaping, including a big shade tree.

This home was listed Nov. 23 by Brandt Barham with Keller Williams Realty for $299,900.

The exterior colors are beautiful! Would you please share what colors you used for the brick and what stain for the wood? We are redoing a lakehouse and this would just suit that home perfectly!
