Chopped up rooms and awkward spaces get a big thumbs down in today’s market. Those considering a renovation with a future sale in mind are wise to put their dollars into interior spaces that are light, bright, and flow easily from one area to the next.

Today’s Thursday Three Hundred offers just that. The 1959 ranchette at 6231 Berryhill St., near Abrams Road and E. Northwest Highway, is 1,596 square feet of open sight lines and airy rooms. This house was listed Nov. 2 by Chuck Briant with Real Estate Marketing Association for $335,000, or $210 per square foot. Looking at nine neighborhood comps, this house is tied with the highest price-per-square-foot, which range from $153 to $209 (average: $180; median: $183). The renovations play a big part in that asking price: it’s a turn-key property with a cohesive, elegant look and feel.
