By the time we came back to this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week listed by Mohammed Jaber of Compass RE Texas, the home at 3100 Cole Avenue, No. 214 was already under contract. That’s OK because it turned us on to a great condo complex full of well-built, updated one- and two-bedrooms homes for lease and sale that are perfect for Uptown living.

But first, let’s check out No. 214 (how perfect is that?), which Jaber has listed for $275,000. Sutton Place at 3100 Cole Avenue is a sleek urban condo complex right in the heart of Uptown, just a block off McKinney Avenue.

Jog out your front door and decide whether you want to make it a short run through the shaded trail in Lake Highlands Park steps away, or make it a longer run several blocks away with views of White Rock Lake at your side. Those are the types of decisions you’ll make with this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week.

Jenny Capritta of RE/MAX DFW Associates just listed 833 Sylvania Drive, a beautifully-renovated midcentury home on a quarter-acre in Eastwood near White Rock Lake. Check, check, and check, right? Check on the price too, listed at $525,000 for a 2,307 square-foot-home in a prime location.

Comfort and location — these are two great characteristics of this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week. This three-story Addison condo is perfect for those who want to come home to a walkable district of dining and entertainment and forget their commute to work until tomorrow. Even if it’s just a hop, skip and jump down the Dallas North Tollway.

Shelbie McKenzie of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Rockwall has listed 15747 Seabolt Place Unit 50, a two-bedroom, two and half-bath condo located in the Townhomes of District A at Quorum Dr. and Arapaho in Addison. It’s got great updates like NEST thermostat, bluetooth door locks, new carpet, and new lighting fixtures. (more…)

Julie Ann Pickering and her Pickering Properties’ Group have done an amazing renovation job on this 1963-built northwest Dallas home that blends beautifully simple touches with hints of bold design hidden throughout. That’s why this four-bedroom, three and half-bath midcentury modern in Inwood North Estates is selected as this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week.

One of the main functions that are built into luxury homes is entertaining, but sometimes spaces that entertain crowds come at the cost of private spaces. However an incredible great room, lounge, and formal dining area does not have to come at the expense of a beautiful master suite. That’s what this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week proves.

This absolutely captivating French Chateau in the Creeks of Preston Hollow offers essential French design that would woo Betty Lou Phillips, for sure. Plus, the master suite was not overlooked, with tons of space, plenty of windows, and a his-and-hers master bath that is the stuff of dreams.

I see so many houses day in and day out, week after week, that I’m pretty jaded. It takes some real creativity to get me excited about a home. So when I say that this Kessler Parkway home designed by Lake | Flato is exciting, I’m not exaggerating.

First, we have to tip our hat to Lake | Flato for not tearing down the original 1948-built structure. Instead, the firm used the terraced backyard to create a unique feature in this week’s Inwood National Bank Home of the Week. The catwalk leads from the second-story addition to the backyard casita, which has gorgeous tree-top views and a relaxing outdoor shower.
