It’s difficult to be in two places at once.  That’s what a reporter’s contacts are for. In addition to last night’s Pink Wall towers’ meeting at the Athena, the Oak Lawn Committee held their monthly clambake (their first since the Lincoln Katy Trail ordeal).

As if to bookend that contention, Prescott arrived with their proposal to redevelop 5.5 acres on Turtle Creek sandwiched between The Mansion on Turtle Creek and the Turtle Creek Gardens condos.  The site at 2727 Turtle Creek is the former home of Republic Insurance.

”.. a spa? Hotel catering? Daaaang! Walter, Are You Listening?”

.. A spa? hotel catering? “Daaaang! Walter, are you getting this?”

Listening to a representative from the Four Seasons Hotel and Club, Candy realized her  house was missing out on all the amenities the hotel has to offer. Aside from golf, there’s the spa, catering, swimming pools, kids camp, clubhouse for parties, and more.

Many attendees had that same, “Dang my house doesn’t have that” look as they heard about the “surround” provided by Four Seasons. It was the icing on top of the three special homes CandysDirt.com visited last night at the Enclave in Las Colinas.

In case you missed, we’re talking about 4774, 4782 and 4786 Byron Cir. These are three homes facing the 17th hole at the Four Seasons TPC course that’s been home to the Byron Nelson tournament for many years.

Since posting last September about the idyllic living setup Kathryn and Craig Hall have with residences in both Dallas and Napa, Calif., wine country housing has been on my radar. News from Napa jumped off the screen when word came out that the Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts has announced residential sales at their venue opening in Calistoga in early 2019.

Along with five-star lodging, in its first phase of development, the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Napa Valley will include 20 full-ownership private homes. Guests and homeowners will share in a full-access winery on-site, overseen by famed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, whose achievements include crafting 20 wines earning perfect 100-point scores from The Wine Advocate.

Head to SecondShelters.com for the images and more detail of the plans.

4782 - Exterior 1

Please join us for our multi-home Staff Meeting open house event up in Las Colinas on March 9 at The Enclave.  For those just tuning in, this is the first time we’ve had a simultaneous, triple open house tour of over $7 million in real estate. In case you missed homes one and two you can click here and here. In addition to viewing these properties, we’ll also meet and listen to the general manager of the Four Seasons golf club who will discuss what it’s like living on a golf course in Four Seasons-land (wonderful, I’d expect … it’s the Four Seasons).

Our final property is 4782 Byron Circle and it’s the perfect bookend being the next-door neighbor of our first home (Map). All three properties are listed with Leigh Ann Barrick, top producing broker/associate with Keller Williams.  This home, on a third of an acre, is 5,123 square feet and contains four bedrooms with five full and one half bathroom. Built in 2001, it’s listed for $2.395 million.  Like its neighbor at 4786 Byron Circle, this home has 17th (party) hole views of the Four Seasons TPC gold course where the Byron Nelson tournament is held each May.

We’re thrilled to host you and your closest real estate-obsessed friends, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t thank the evening’s co-sponsor, John Kelly, branch manager with Guaranteed RateHe’s a genius with mortgages and we couldn’t be happier to have him aboard!

4774 - Exterior 1

Sitting on roughly a half-acre, this home has plenty of space for kids or grandkids to roam. It’s definitely a luxury in this property within the gated Enclave community in Las Colinas.  If you’re just checking in, this is the second of three we’re featuring as part of our March 9 Staff Meeting event at the Enclave in Las Colinas that circles the Four Seasons resort and golf club.  Click here to see what you’ve missed.

This home at 4774 Byron Circle is more English mixed with a bit of gothic (Map).  Listed with Keller Williams Luxury Member Leigh Ann Barrick for $2.85 million, this 2003 home contains 6,690 square feet encompassing five bedrooms with five full and one half bathroom … 14 rooms in total.

4786 - View 1

I know it’s winter and the thought of venturing north makes you zip up your metaphorical coat, but Las Colinas isn’t too far, is it? Good.  Because CandysDirt.com and Keller Williams star Leigh Ann Barrick are hosting a Staff Meeting event on March 9th at three homes in the exclusive, gated Enclave community that borders the Four Seasons TPC golf course.  In addition to touring these expansive homes, we’ll be treated to a presentation by Four Seasons Club Manager Jim Kern on the benefits of living in Four Seasons turf. (And I do like me some Four Seasons!)

4401 Windsor Ridge Drive LC extWell, this is the “it’s August everyone’s on vaca” edition of MMM. It comes to you straight from Las Colinas and the Four Season’s TPC, where you can live like a billionaire for a couple million. Seriously, you would be surprised at the smart, serious wealth out here. It’s a zip to D/FW or your private jet, it’s within walking distance of the Four Seasons, and it’s sitting one of the greatest golf courses in North Texas. Only $2,775,000. Listed with Bernice and David Maez of Vivo Realty in Plano, who also shot this amazing video for our viewing pleasure. It actually shows actors living in the home, entertaining and enjoying the full view of the course. Let’s call it “A Day In The Life of 4401 Windsor Ridge Drive”: It’s a wonderful marketing tool they employ on all their luxury homes!

4401 Windsor Ridge Drive ext windows4401 Windsor Ridge Drive is like a vacation home unto itself, maybe better. If you’ve been the Byron Nelson and gawked at the gorgeous, huge-windowed homes flanking the course, usually robust with parties, wine and drink, you may have spotted 4401 and fallen in love.

Loaded up like one of Erich Spangenberg’s Christie’s auction 18 wheelers, the house has absolutely everything you’d find in a $15 million estate on Park Lane. I’d like to get my hands on some of those bottles in the wine cave (see video below): I’m told the cellar alone has one million poured into it, and we haven’t even started talking about the wine.

Another thing the quiet rich love about this area is that it’s private and tucked away. This secure, gated community is great for privacy and lock and leave, but you’re not in the boonies. You are within walking or golf-cart-ride distance of the distinguished Four Seasons Resort and Spa.

4401 Windsor Rideg Drive LC LR 4401 Windsor Ridge Drive LC kit1 4401 Windsor Rideg Dr LC kit 2Built in 1991, the estate has 12,228 square feet on a one-half acre of land. A winding, anchoring stairway curves gracefully, facing the golf course. There are five ginormous bedrooms, six living areas, seven full baths and three half meaning each bedroom has it’s own bath and the master has two, a his and her’s. There is also a steam shower in the master. I am also very happy to see the return of the bidet to the master — when this home has one,was built all luxury homes had one, and I do wish I’d see more these days. There is a room for everything you need in life in this house: exercise, library with walls of shelves, media room, game room with wet bar, guest room suite, and so many balconies I lost count. The master is large enough, 33 by 16, with a separate sitting area on top of that space and enough room to etch out a beauty salon in the bath.4401 Windsor Ridge Dr LC master

Do not laugh: I know of a home being built in Dallas with a beauty salon in it. Champ d’Or had one. I think it’s a splendid idea.

The center island is equipped to handle and keep hot a buffet meal for a hundred. The outdoor patio is covered, sports a fireplace and barbecue grill. The media room has a neon lite dome ceiling, gold leaf doors and mouldings, and all the sound/tech accoutrements. My favorite room, the wine cellar, features tres authentique stone imported right from France. Viva vino! It is the most popular room in the house come August.
