The North Oak Cliff neighborhood of Beckley Estates receives a fair amount of attention as an up-and-coming area of Dallas. But its southern neighbor, Cedar Oaks, is a hidden gem where buyers can find character-filled, affordable houses from the 1940s and 1950s. The famous wandering peacocks of Beckley Estates make their appearance here, too, among the hilly streets and arching shade trees.
