About half of all renter households are cost-burdened, with tenants spending more than 30 percent of their incomes on rent, according to a recent Apartmentlist.com study. “The number of cost-burdened renter households in Dallas has increased by 116,053 since 2008,” said Olyvia Ruhlmann of Apartmentlist.
