The three-bedroom, one-bath gem at 1611 Centerville Road offers a unique combination of midcentury charm and modern amenities. The home was originally built in 1950.  Its previous owner, who also just happened to have grown up there, remodeled it after his parents passed away. The renovations he made added necessary updates while restoring much of the original character.

Dallas City Center Realtor Scott Noblett helped him sell the house a few years ago, and was impressed with the pride he took in renovating it. Now that the current owner is moving on, he’s looking forward to finding another family who will fall in love with this one-of-a-kind property.

“It’s such a charming little house,” Dallas City Center Realtor Scott Noblett said. “It has a lot of the original hardwood floors that have been beautifully refurbished. It’s super inviting and makes you feel really comfortable.”

4412 Beechwood Lane is currently listed by Scott Jackson with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for $525,000.

It’s hard to go wrong with a classic, and this 1951 ranch in Midway Hollow is just what we need this Friday. With a prime location close to the heart of the Dallas, it’s the kind of house that makes these neighborhoods so special. Featuring all the charm of a bygone era, but with the modern-day updates we all crave, this Midway Hollow beauty is what real estate deals are made of. And it could be yours for just $525,000. Let’s take a look inside.

“If they could pick this house up and move it to a bigger lot, they would,” says 1618 Eastus Drive listing agent Courtney Tauriac. It was a passion project for them, and everything within this midcentury ranch was hand picked.

So it’s with a tinge of sadness and a whole lot of admiration that we name this 1952-built stunner in East Kessler our High Caliber Home of the Week sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans. Thanks to their hard work, we’re pretty sure these sellers will get an offer on this beautiful North Oak Cliff home in a jiffy, so if it’s speaking to you, better call Lisa Peters today to get pre-approved and ready to bid!

3106 Silverton d

Our Thursday Three Hundred takes us to the heart of Northwest Dallas, where we’ve found a renovated ranch that’s contemporary, stylish, and spacious.

The home at 3106 Silverton Dr., near Royal Lane and Webb Chapel Road, benefitted from a big overhaul and now this 1957 beauty stands out. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,961 square feet.

Every corner of this Northwest Dallas ranch was touched, from the exterior’s new wood accent hardscaping and landscaping, to lots of fresh amenities inside. Located in the Royal Haven neighborhood, this home offers a lot for well under $400K, from fenced RV/boat parking and covered patios, to a built-in wine refrigerator and dry bar. This is a large corner lot in an up-and-coming neighborhood, so let’s take a look before someone swoops in and buys this beauty.

851 Peavy Front

This brand new listing (only four days old!) caught my eye this morning as I was driving my son to drop off. I thought to myself, “Values in this area are going up, and I bet this home is a typical traditional 3/2 layout, let’s see …” I then started to play the “How Much Will This Home Be Listed At?” game with myself. Lots of listings in this neighborhood, Lake Terrace, are priced in the $200Ks, and this one has just enough curb appeal to suggest it’s been recently updated.

This Tuesday $200K, 9907 Estacado marketed by Patricia Aguirre, came to me as I was jogging about my neighborhood. I often pass this little house as I make my rounds with Cooper in the stroller, and when I first saw the Keller Williams sign pop up in the front yard, I was certain it wouldn’t be there long.

After all, houses like that one don’t stick around. It looked to be a single-owner type property that sits on a corner lot and backs up to a creek. And it’s midcentury modern, to boot!

Just for giggles I decided to look it up last week, and not only is this three-bedroom, two bath time machine still on the market, but it was just reduced by $1,000 to $197,500!

This home has pretty much all of the original touches you want in a mid-mod, like wood paneling out the ying-yang, a cool atomic-style den light, floor-to-ceiling windows, clerestory windows, and even more windows!

Everything is super clean, too. The kitchen, while all white and totally desperate for some sleek counters and classy tile, gleams.

The bathrooms, well, they have Daltile. The Jack-and-Jill bathroom sports a pink and burgundy color scheme, while the master bath has some wallpaper in it that makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it.

It’s the backyard, the swingin’ patio and the sprawling, treed lot that have me drooling. Look at all of that space! This house, which is 2,180 square feet, sits on almost a half acre!

So, what are you waiting for? Go buy this house and get it ready for a skinny tie and a Manhattan!
