2328 W. Colorado Blvd. Circa 1941

Stevens Park Village may be nestled off-the-beaten-path between Colorado Boulevard and the edge of North Oak Cliff, but the amazing Dallas skyline is in plain sight from hilltops in the hidden neighborhood. That’s one of the many advantages that villagers enjoy.

The location, just a stone’s throw from Interstate 30 and downtown, is another one. Residents have easy access to the central business district, urban sprawl, and all-things Dallas along with the comfort of coming home to a quiet neighborhood with plenty of village feel.

2107 Barberry Drive Circa 1941

Unlike some historic North Oak Cliff neighborhoods that date back to the 19th century, Stevens Park Village is more of a vintage village. While homes on five of its streets were constructed from 1939 to 1941, houses on the remaining three streets are Midcentury architecture straight out of the 1950s.

4025 Bowser Front

Caroline Summers strikes again! This dynamic Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realtor has another great listing, and this time it’s in the super-hot SoHIP neighborhood (South of Highland Park, for the uninitiated).

This gorgeous semi-detached home has a beautiful modern facade and an even better location. It’s right in the honey pot of Uptown, north of Lemmon and west of Oak Lawn, and it has creative, open interiors with tons of texture. It has a rooftop deck, too. This luxurious urban property is definitely worthy of our High Caliber Home of the Week award.

And Caroline Summers is a Realtor who will work tirelessly to market her clients properties, too. This award-winning agent just received the Charles P. Freeman Spirit in the Sky award, as well as entrance into the Briggs Freeman Millennium club with more than $20 million in sales for 2014. Yes, Summers is driven and creative, which reminds us an awful lot of Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans. If you want a mortgage professional that will help you sail through closing, don’t take any chances and call Lisa Peters today.

Hollywood-Santa Monica is definitely in my top-10 Dallas neighborhoods list! This East Dallas hideaway is littered with adorable homes on picturesque streets with great neighbors. Here’s a great opportunity to own a cute little Tudor with an outstanding backyard for just $262,500.

Marketed by the insanely talented husband-and-wife team of Bryan and Amanda Crawford, 6927 Patricia Ave. is a fabulous little Tudor stuffed to the gills with charm. It’s a two-bedroom, one-bath home on a short, quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Santa Fe Trail and Lakewood Country Club. It’s a great location that is accessible and private with great shopping and great schools (Lakewood Elementary and Woodrow Wilson High School).

There are just a few updates I would suggest, including a little TLC to the kitchen and bathroom. Otherwise this house is just adorable! I love the Murphy bed in the guest bedroom. You never see those anymore! So much classier than the ubiquitous futon.

What really pops my cork is the backyard. I love the fence and the multi-level deck, as well as the organic raised beds. You can enjoy the scenery and grow your own herbs and veggies! There’s a great front porch, too, which will be perfect for sipping a beverage and visiting with your new neighbors in this historic conservation district.

Example of a Bluffview property for sale

Word from Rogers Healy that he scored a $90,000 lease for two very happy Bluffview homeowners. One of the biggest names in rap and entourage booked the homes for Super Bowl weekend — four days. The homes were not for sale nor on any rental sites. Happy homeowners turning over the keys and heading straight to the bank…

This is a house for sale in the area. It’s $7,499,900. (Don’t choke.) Little Friday morning House Porn live from Dallas, Texas!

Update: the home pictured here is NOT the home leased out to the Super Bowl crowd, but a beautiful home for sale and an great example of what you get in Bluffview. For $7,499,900, of course…
