Some houses just seem to have it all, and boy, are we lucky when they hit the market. Our Inwood Home of the Week at 3708 Greenbrier is a stunning University Park traditional with transitional influences. It was pretty flawless when it was built in 2013, but the present owners took it a step further, adding their stamp to this 6,717-square-foot home. The result is three stories with five bedrooms, six full and one powder baths, and every part of the home is elegant and livable. It can be hard to combine those two things, but it’s been beautifully executed here.

Our Inwood House of the Week is one of those homes you expect to see as a location for a TV series set in the 1950s. Mom is vacuuming in heels and pearls as dad fires up the grill for a neighborhood barbecue, jazz wafting out onto the patio. This North Dallas renovated ranch at 11439 Chicot Drive perfectly captures the character and nostalgia of the era, but step inside and you quickly move from 1951 to 2017.

IHOTW

With the fervor for tearing down classic homes in the Park Cities right now, it was refreshing to find our Inwood House of the Week, a charming University Park Tudor not only intact, but also lovingly restored. What was even more refreshing was sitting down with the talented woman that saw the potential in 4111 San Carlos Street, and hearing her story.

Very few homes stand the test of time. Our Inwood National Bank House of the Week is an incredibly chic modern colonial that looks as if it was renovated last year, not in 1996. It takes skill, knowledge, dedication, and talent to ensure a home does not become dated, and we’ve never seen a better example than 3802 Shenandoah Street in the heart of Highland Park.

5528-Springmeadow-1

Our Inwood National Bank House of the Week at 5528 Springmeadow Drive is one of the finest examples of an American ranch remodel I’ve ever seen. It’s also down the street from one of the most beloved American country music stars of all time, Charley Pride. Pride has lived in this beautiful private neighborhood for over twenty years. David Alan Coe also called it home for a while, and of course, Jordan Spieth is just across the way in Preston Hollow.
