BARTON & GRAHAM RENOVATED BEAUTY IN CASA VIEW OAKS

Open house: Sunday, August 13, 2-4 p.m.

We love the work of Casey Barton and Raymond Graham, two home renovators extraordinaire. Well, they’ve done it again at 2441 Hartline Dr. in Casa View Oaks, near Gus Thomasson and Ferguson roads. They’ve opened up the floorplan of this modest home and made it feel modern, open, and welcoming with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,277 square feet, built in 1954.

Those beautiful hardwoods are original refinished blended seamlessly with new oak ones — what a luxury in a home in this price range. Love the design flair, like that contemporary chandelier in the dining room and graphic wallpaper in the entryway. The kitchen is another luxe space in a budget-friendly home, with quartz countertops, lovely gray cabinets, a built-in wine rack, white subway tile backsplash in a stack bond pattern, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. Other features include a new laundry room, new HVAC and water heater, fresh paint inside and out, new LED lighting, and a big 15-by-20 wood deck in back.

This home was listed Aug. 10 by Raymond Graham with Rachel Silverman for $249,999.

FABULOUS GLEN COVE CONTEMPORARY ON A THIRD OF AN ACRE, REDUCED $10K

You’ll find nine-foot ceilings, plantation shutters, and gleaming hardwood floors. This home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, two dining areas, and 2,401 square feet on one story, built in 1965.

This home has a lot of green features, including foam insulation, low-E windows, and Amana foam-friendly high-tech HVAC. The kitchen custom cabinetry, granite countertops, glass tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas cooktop. The living room has a skylight and fireplace, as well as sliding glass doors that lead to the covered patio and backyard with privacy fence and mature trees. This home is walking distance to the Glen Cove community pool.

I like how you showed the expensive homes and then the way less expensive home to show how you can remodeled yourself.

I love the textures in the Lakewood custom contemporary. Each room has a different style of texture, from the marble kitchen to the living room wall art and the textured brick in the family room. Now, if only I had 1.1 million to spare!
