What’s the true testament of a great agent? Referrals! That’s how David Griffin & Co. Realtor Sam Saladino nabbed this Lake Park Estates listing, our High Caliber Home of the Week sponsored by Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans.

“Two of my dear friends live across the street and were kind enough to refer me to the seller,” said the ever-humble Saladino. “We spent about 2 and a half months getting it ready.”

All of that hard work really shows in this cute home just off of Peavy Road. We love the curb appeal and the classic midcentury modern lines of this home, and with the updates inside, we know that it will attract a lot of attention. There’s no better way come to your showing ready to put in an offer than getting pre-approved with Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans.

If you want to live in a cute midcentury home in one of the hottest neighborhoods in Dallas, jump!

Lake Park Estates is one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of East Dallas. There’s a hefty roster of midcentury modern homes in this enclave bound by Peavy Road, Buckner Blvd. Garland Road, and E. Lake Highlands. It feeds into the award-winning Hexter Elementary, too. This home is perfect for a young family to enjoy, says Saladino. It’s right down Peavy from Hexter, just down a block or two from some truly epic local restaurants including Good 2 Go Taco, Goodfriend, 20 Feet, Goodfriend Package, and Cultivar Coffee. Casa Linda Plaza is just around the corner, and Doctors Hospital is nearby just in case.

And this three-bedroom, two-bath home with 1,448 square feet is a great example of what you can get in this area. While the exterior is very much a midcentury modern, the interiors are more traditional, Saladino notes. “It’s a great starter for people wanting a bit of midcentury with traditional living spaces,” he said. He’s listed this cute one-story at 907 Tipperary for $375,000.

The home has had myriad improvements, with a new kitchen featuring solid surface countertops, a subway tile backsplash, new oak cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a built-in wine refrigerator, and beautiful tile floors. Of course, Saladino wouldn’t put a home on the market without a fresh paint job, too.

“The house has been fully painted on the exterior and storage shed in two of my favorite colors, which I’ve used many times with builder clients in Lakewood,” he said. “There is an enclosed breezeway not included in the living area square footage that functions as mud room, laundry, and storage. A great bonus area and nice access when the weather causes muddy soles and paws.”

The bedrooms are nothing to sneeze at, either. The master bedroom clocks in at 14 by 14 feet, which is large enough for a king-sized bed and dressers.

And both bathrooms received some attention from the sellers, too.

“Wonderful backyard, safe and secure for kids and animals,” Saladino said. We have to agree, and the view to the house isn’t bad, either.

“It’s a nice complement to all the cool houses on the street,” Saladino said. Of course, if you’re already arranging your furniture in your head, go ahead and call Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans so you can put in your highest and best offer on this Lake Park Estates midcentury home!

I don’t think you are correct, as this is on the other side of Peavy from the creek. It’s actually perched at quite an elevation.
