Mossvine Front

When Ray Kira sent us this home, I didn’t have a few spare moments to really get a good look at why he had considered it “a great property worth sharing.” But last night, as I was catching up on the last few emails I missed while I was out of town last week, I saw just exactly what he meant.

Mossvine Family

Northwood Hills is a great location all by itself — a veritable enclave of fabulous family homes inside the Richardson Independent School District. Just off Coit and south of Belt Line, you’ve got great access to plenty of commuter thoroughfares and great schools.

Mossvine Dining

But 6921 Mossvine Drive doesn’t even need the location to sell itself. It’s just gorgeous and completely updated by the sellers, and in great fashion, too. It has three living areas, four bedrooms, three and a half baths, two fireplaces, and a gorgeous courtyard that is great for entertaining once the temperatures cool down a bit. It’s listed for $549,900 — a great price considering the work that’s been put in to all 3,374 square feet.

Mossvine Kitchen

When I say that this house has been updated, I mean that every inch features new finishes and hardware. The kitchen steals the show in this respect, with dark wood cabinets, a spacious island, granite counters, undermount lighting, and stainless appliances.

Mossvine Master Mossvine Master Bath

You’ll love the master suite, of course, with its generous size at 19×15, and it’s amazing bathroom. Yes, there is another clawfoot tub, and this one inside a 1960s traditional looks a lot less out of place. The shower is also an upsell with body jets, along with a waterfall fixture and really cool stone mosaic flooring.

Mossvine Courtyard Mossvine Backyard

And of course, the courtyard, which leads to a lovely little lawn, is such a great feature. Why did we ever do away with the courtyard, folks? It’s such a wonderful oasis! Add a shade sail or an umbrella and it’s positively refreshing. You can access the courtyard from both the living area and the master suite, which is so genius!

Don’t you just love it?
