Thursday Three Hundred: Plano 4-Bedroom in Whiffletree is Perfect For a Family Set on The ‘Burbs

Share News:

When you consider a move to the suburbs, what are the amenities you look for? The people asking themselves this question tend to be young families with school-aged children. I’d estimate the top reasons are great schools, more room, a safe environment, and a peer community.

While the outer suburbs are gaining new residents and businesses at a pretty quick clip, let’s not forget Plano, right? It’s a great suburb that has all of the above amenities.

I’ll save you some work and show you this great deal from Re/Max Dallas Suburbs at 3516 Snidow Drive. This home, inside the Whiffletree development at Legacy Drive and Independence Parkway, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a big garage and a cute pool, too!

You know I’m going to say this, but this house is great and full of potential, but it is also full of stuff! If a person buys this home as it is right now, they are able to see the potential under layers of bright paint and furniture. This home, which is 3,258 square feet, would show so much better with some staging. In fact, if the owner does stage this property, I am sure they’ll be able to get their $369,000 asking price, if not a little more.

Still, this house is a great one for a family looking to upgrade in size and location. The schools are good, too, and I love the area.

If you have your heart set on making your mark, there’s plenty of upgrading to do. I’d start in the master bath with the shower stall and the tile on the floor. Much of everything else can be fixed with a coat of paint and elbow grease to take down the wallpaper.

What do you think?

    Awww! I wish I did! But I'm more of a modern-streamlined gal. 🙂

The master bath looks so relaxing and will be more so when the brass is removed. It's a great home but I do think they could do well and pare down the dust collectors.

I know sigh but tchotchkes kind of reminds me of my mother's house… tchotchkes and fuzzy rugs which I buy occasionally. Oh and fuzzy tank covers and toilet seat covers…tacky I know but also strangely warm and comforting, like mac and cheese.
