Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to buy we go!

Head to the very center of the Disney streets neighborhood in Midway Hills and you’ll find this sweet 1957 midcentury modern home at 11136 Dwarfs Circle. We’re pretty sure this one would have Snow White seriously considering ditching the castle. She’ll probably bring the prince with her, though.

After hitting the market only 11 days ago, it was already under option, which is not surprising considering the lightening speed at which Richard Graziano of Allie Beth Allman sells houses. This 2,414-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom gem is a bargain at $550,000 because every single thing you would think to do to it, has already been done — and done extremely well.

IHOTW 3843-Regent-Street

Oh how we love the Disney Streets in North Dallas. Pinnochio, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Snow White — home to some of this city’s best mid century modern architecture and the biggest fourth of July parade in town. This is a neighborhood to re-define all neighborhoods, broken in and uplifted by the Gayborhood principle. And when there is a home listed, we jump on over to take a look/see, because we know it won’t be available for long

3843 Regent is actually SOUTH of the Disney Streets, because it is south of Royal, in one of my favorite neighborhoods in town. In fact, our very first home was just west of here on Ainsworth. This 1970’s perfection ranch is located in a quadrant of  beautiful, bountiful ’60s and ’70s ranches. The home is open, expanded and completely updated inside. I’m talking a new roof in 2014, new windows, recently replaced HVAC of 2 zones, 16 SEER, and a tankless water heater. Mechanically, this home is impeccable!

10564 Cox Front

Here’s another fabulous property that just hit the market and won’t stay there for long! I am so in love with this gorgeous contemporary at 10564 Cox Lane in the Disney Streets neighborhood. Within walking distance of Peter Pan Park, you get a great location, great neighbors, and a competitive price at $432,000.

10564 Cox Living Dining

Marketed by Dallas City Center Realtor Kim Tierney and staged by Karen Eubank of Eubank Staging, this house shows like a dream! Colors, textures, and shapes — all of the decor works together to make this home feel unique without being too personal. Karen, a veteran designer, shared this hot tip she used to stage this home — if you need to balance a room without buying more furniture, break up a sectional into two pieces. Great idea!

10564 Cox Family

This 1970s contemporary is perfect for a family no matter the age thanks to its open floor plan. It has four bedrooms, two full and two half baths, and 2,853 square feet. There’s a two-car garage, two huge living areas including a family room with a bar, and a gorgeous pool.

10564 Cox Kitchen

The kitchen features French Limestone and glass tile, which really sets off the bamboo floors throughout the home. I love the breakfast bar and the barstools, a great place to socialize while cooking! There are stainless appliances, of course, and tons of cabinet space.

10564 Cox Master

In the master bedroom you can see what a fantastic value this home is. Check out the huge windows and the size of this room! Seriously, I would hook up my Apple TV in this place and just watch Netflix for the rest of my life (in between trips out to the pool, of course!).

10564 Cox Master Bath

The master bath is equally enticing, with its long vanity with polished stone and a huge mirror that leads to one of the most epic shower and bath combos I have ever seen in my life. The elongated tile is so very zen, and if there’s plenty of mood lighting, well, let’s just say that I would totally melt in that tub after a stressful day.

10564 Cox Backyard

Now, the backyard is just perfect if you’re looking for a way to keep from hearing “I’m BORED!” every five minutes this summer. There’s a great pool with a diving board, as well as tons of space in the garden to totter around. Seriously, this is just a fantastic property!

Cinderella FrontEveryone is looking for the perfect Midcentury Modern these days. Lucky for them, Dallas has a fabulous collection of the much sought-after architectural style. This one, at 10815 Cinderella Lane in the Disney Streets neighborhood, is a great family home with tons of updates without losing the Mid-Mod charm!

Cinderella Entry

With three bedrooms and two full baths, this house has room to spread out. It’s a good size for its age with 2,068 square feet of space in this 1956-built home. And this owner was listening when a little bird told them that kitchens and baths sell homes, because the kitchen and both full baths have been completely renovated.

Cinderella Living

It’s on the market for a recently reduced $380,000, so you know that these sellers are motivated. Honestly, I don’t see this home sitting on the market for a whole lot longer. I am sure that the winning bid will come soon after they spot some of the gorgeous features this home has to offer.

Cinderella Dining

With a formal dining room, a living room, and a more informal den, this home has tons of space for entertaining. And the layout is classic Mid-Mod, with walls separating the living and dining areas and a half-wall in the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, there’s all new cabinetry that coordinates with the hardwood floors. There’s a fresh backsplash, too, as well as granite counters.

Cinderella Kitchen

The master bedroom isn’t much larger than the other two bedrooms at 13 x 12, but you’ll love the full-size shower and double vanities in the master bath. Most 1950s-era bathrooms feature hideous color combinations of Daltile, so it’s fantastic that the current owners have remodeled them both.

Cinderella Master Bath

The backyard is a great space for entertaining and gardening, and has a huge concrete slab patio that will accomodate a grill and perhaps, if it’s your thing, a hot tub. I am sure a resourceful buyer will get a few quotes on covering the patio, which would extend the area’s usefulness this summer by hours and days!
