Discover Perfection With A View Over On Gooding Drive

Remember in high school when you’d get assigned to a group? And there was always one person that did everything? Even though you may not share a Social Studies Quad with the current owners of 10567 Gooding Drive, you are definitely benefitting from there “we-did-it-all-already-ness.” And dang, did they.

What we have at 10567 it a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2,456 square foot mid-century modern that was already great, but now? Now it’s perfected.

Let’s start with the kitchen they gutted, opened up, and brought into the 21st century. Originally there was a heavy brick oven in there, but now? It’s open and bright with a wall of custom cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a 66” commercial refrigerator-freezer combo that will fit a quarantine’s worth of food. Remember that? Back in March when we all stocked up before the understanding of an “essential business” sunk in. We were so young…

The kitchen opens right up into a massive room with enough flex space to, well, flex it. Make it a living room and dining room or let’s call it a lounge, the point is it’s open and airy and with a massive picture window that brings the stunning backyard in. And when we say stunning, we mean pick your jaw up off the floor, this backyard is the business. More about that in minute.

What’s that on the floor, you ask? Only the finest RECLAIMED hardwoods. Hello. And that bleached out oak look is so soft and wonderful. You’ll notice there are few to none rugs in the listing photos and that HAS to be by design. Why on Earth would you cover up floors this gorgeous. Oh wait, we know the answer. YOU WOULDN’T. It’s so hard not to comment on the furnishings in these photos because they’re so perfect. It’s the perfect mix of of-the-era pieces with a few modern pops.

The picture window in the dining area and the sliding glass door are just the beginning. There’s one at the front of the house, too. And two glass paneled front doors. Tons of natural light and the house is set back for maximum privacy.

This house is a total retreat and just wait until we get out back. (I know, so many teases.) Other incredible details that Dave Perry-Miller’s Lindy Crain gave us the lowdown on? Lots. HVAC and duct work? Replaced. Bathrooms? Meticulously updated. Doors? SOLID CORE. And that’s a total nerd alert detail, but what it does is adds a little heft and also, totally helps with volume control.

And now, the backyard. Set on a creek lot with killer views, there are not one but two or three (depending on how you divide it up) seating areas. Including one that’s out over the creek. It’s an escape from the day for days. Heart emoji.

One more fun fact Crain clued us in on? The owners of this home inherited their incredible taste. The parents’ home is also on the market at 6005 Northwood.

If you’re interested in either home, reach out to Crain. She’d be happy to give you the Grand Tour. Gooding is listed at $725,000 and Northwood is listed at $1,499,000.
