Northwood exteriorOne of the best things about campaigning for Dallas City Council is getting to see so many homes across my District, District 11. Oh oh the places I go, people I meet, houses I snoop into! We have some of the most amazing homes in Dallas and we have topography with a capital T!

Being a candidate is just the perfect fit for a House Porn Queen: every day brings me another wonderful neighborhood loaded with great homes!Brookridge ext rear

I stumbled across 14047 Brookridge, listed with Berkshire Hathaway Pen Fed Texas agent Kirk Scott,  while out talking to voters in Northwood Hills. I saw the for sale sign, and had to go knock on the door immediately and get inside! The home was built in 1965, they built some great homes that year. The home has also been deliciously updated.

A word here about Northwood Hills: I am in love. Have been ever since my brother in law and wife moved here years ago, and sent their children to Richardson schools. My nephews and nieces were educated in Richardson and all went on to college and greatness.

So schools, check. Now how about the view, both inside the house and OUT.

This home has million dollar plus views. The Mod century is so clean-lined, even your most stalwart contemporary purists will approve.

There is the forest-like setting that can be viewed from nearly every window. The kitchen is a huge, modern, open concept with top line stainless appliances and living area nearby with volumes of sunshine. The home is a split level, which you find a lot of in rolling Northwood, and even the patio is multi-level. This home would be ideal for home-office pros, or a spouse who works from home. Coming in at 2816 square feet, the home features three bedrooms, two full and one-half bath. All baths have been updated and remodeled, as well as the kitchen. And wait until you see the laundry room, it’s big enough for an army and then some. There is a two-car garage and the house has overcompensated for storage. In fact, the master alone has three master closets!Brookridge LR

Asking price on this gem is $639,900, reduced from $649,900. You know what that means: motivated seller.

The best kind!
