The Amber

Today, I’d love to tell you about one of the most beautiful homes I’ve seen in a long time — there’s not another place like this in North Texas. So unique is this property, it even has a name. The Amber is an expansive, pastoral property nestled in the quiet community of Little Elm. Little Elm is only 45 minutes from downtown Dallas and ten minutes from nearby shopping and dining, but has the coziness of country living on 10 gorgeous acres. And if you haven’t been up there in awhile, well, things are hopping!

Located at 751 Amber Ln., this is sophisticated contemporary transitional living with everything a buyer could want, right on the northern shores of Lewisville Lake. Locals here have access to all the fishing, boating, and fun they could ask for!

The Amber was designed by noted Dallas architecture firm Bernbaum Magadini in 2006, and holds a reputation for award-winning horses, in addition to the breathtaking tranquility of the curated grounds. It has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, and 6,232 square feet on two stories. The home is divided into special privacy wings that lend itself to so much versatility of living. Clearly, you can see the spacial use genius of Bernbaum Magadini in every inch. This property is going to knock your socks off — it’s listed by Evan Stewart and Nilza Rueckert of the Rueckert + Stewart Group with Ebby Halliday Realtors, who were kind enough to give me a full tour and let me chase the hens! Bernbaum Magadini focuses on ease of use and maintenance in their luxury homes, so you’ll find no-care polished concrete floors throughout The Amber. These create a beautiful setting for furniture while allowing for minimum upkeep. Genius.

Just off the entryway, the great room features vaulted, soaring ceilings with massive wooden crossbeams, as well as access to the covered outdoor entertaining space. This is a room complete with a full outdoor kitchen and drop-down electronic screens. I can just imagine the fun evenings you could spend out here with family and friends (without bugs).

The kitchen is a dream, ideally suited for entertainment or cooking with double ovens, beautiful countertops, an abundance of counter space, storage, and a pass-through window to the formal dining that can be closed. That’s perfect for parties when you’ve got the caterers in there working away. The space is so functional and big you’ll never be bumping elbows with anyone else while you’re cooking.

In a private wing, the master suite is an oasis with its own fireplace, paneled ceiling, and marvelous views of the pond and barn through glass patio doors. Wait until you see its ensuite bathroom: wow! From the HUGE shower with frameless glass and dual shower heads to the contemporary soaker tub and two oversized vanities, this space impresses.

Nearby is a game room, a flexible entertainment area including a full bar area with a dishwasher and sink so you don’t have to drag glassware into the kitchen. So convenient! The home also offers two offices, in addition to the four bedrooms, and so many other thoughtful spaces.

Heading outside, there are two distinct areas of the backyard. First, an infinity pool and hot tub with a large covered patio, multiple seating areas, lots of grassy green space for the kids and pets, and mature landscaping, including lovely shade trees. I can’t believe a place this relaxing is so close to Dallas!

Second, the nearby pond wows with a fountain and dock, and leads us to the state-of-the-art barn and riding arena. This is an incredible feature of The Amber, ready for the most ambitious trainer. The riding arena has a sound system and lights, so you can ride until midnight if you want. The barn features multiple stalls, a horse wash, and guest apartment above the barn, perfect for guests visiting with their equestrian friends.

I just can’t gush enough about The Amber — I’ve seen a lot of properties and this one managed to astound me with its style, amenities, and elegance. There is a tranquility up here in Little Elm that seems to take over.

The list price on this masterpiece of a home is $2.9 million. Not a misprint, $2.9 for all of this! To find out more about The Amber, contact Evan Stewart at 469-667-4118 or Nilza Rueckert at 214-460-0873 or email [email protected].

Go ahead, take a deep, deep breath of that fresh air.
