Ticket Giveaway: This Weekend’s Modern Mile Dallas Home Tour

This is the second annual Modern Mile Dallas Home Tour, which highlights the incredible modern and midcentury modern architecture found in one square mile of Northwest Dallas in a neighborhood called Walnut Hills. This area, long a hidden gem of a neighborhood, has recently been rediscovered thanks to its beautiful topography and secluded feel.
This year’s tour is just crowded with ridiculously beautiful homes (Leah Shafer featured two of them this week, here and here) plus it benefits Walnut Hill Elementary, a Dallas ISD campus.
If you haven’t already purchased your — you can pick them up right here — we’re giving away one pair of passes to this event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

I loved the Y house! I drive by these homes every week in my neighborhood and never knew how detailed they were inside!
I loved both of the Sneak Previews, but I most enjoyed the one about the “Y” house, I love how the owners made such an effort to research their house and pay tribute to the former owners and the architect. I am so glad to hear when people want to restore original homes instead of tearing them down. mid century Modern designs are such a treasure and I am so glad when they are preserved, My daughter and I attended the tour last year and can not wait for this year’s tour. My daughters Birthday is Oct 3 and this has become a part of our Birthday celebration.
The Reynolds Home on Royal Springs really caught my eye! It’s got such beautiful bones, and I love the touches the owners added. I’m always interested in seeing how people remodel a property and take it from a “Kim Kardashian” state and turn it into “Kate Middleton”!

I adore The Reynolds Home on Royal Springs! The warm and chic mid-century modern aesthetic is my favorite. Plus I love how the little platform overlooking the water feels like a mini-vacation getaway right in their own backyard.
Very much looking forward to this tour. The house were great last year, this year they look better.
