In case you don’t know IBB Fine Furnishings, Shay is known for her highly individualized approach in fashioning rooms that speak to the personal taste and lifestyle of each client.

“It’s my job to translate their tastes and utilize things they love to create a backdrop for memorable moments for years to come,” says Shay.

All her projects showcase her fresh perspective on each room, her creative use of furnishings and her ability to problem solve to amplify and magnify the function of her clients’ spaces.

“I’m inspired by art, color, books, shelter publications, history, social media and client’s possessions that help tell their story,” says Shay. “Striving to help improve my client’s lives by creating a home to be proud of and excited to come home to is a daily inspiration for me. My design mantra, often regarded as livable luxe, is defined by infusing unique elements, textiles, design details & statement pieces that also offer comfortable living. My passion for art, color, layering fabrics, wall treatments & lighting are a mainstay in my work. I love utilizing local artisans to create one-of-kind elements to implement into my designs to give my clients a truly unique home.”

A native Texan, Shay has been surrounded by design my entire life.  Her mother, Beth Rafferty, founded IBB Fine Furnishings.

“Her client list spans the globe,” says Shay.  “I remember playing with all of the fabric samples she would bring home & pretending to decorate my doll houses & baby cribs as a child.”

After graduating from college, Shay came home to Texas to work in the family business. She has two darling daughters of her own.
