Thief Raids Preservation Dallas Office, Steals Purse and Donation Jar

Burglar

Too bad the jerkface who entered the Preservation Dallas offices inside the historic Wilson House wasn’t as conspicuous as this guy, otherwise someone might have noticed him before he made off with the non-profit organization’s donation jar as well as a staffer’s purse and sunglasses.

It’s unfortunate that someone would steal from a non-profit, but it’s doubly egregious to see someone take from a group that has worked so hard to save historic Dallas architecture such as the very digs it occupies.

While a police report has been filed, sources say that there were no witnesses to the theft, in which the stealthy thief absconded with cash donations and about $1,000 worth of personal belongings. Who does that?

We’re hoping that the thief has a change of heart and returns the purse he stole and the donation jar he raided. If you want to help restore some faith for the fine folks of Preservation Dallas, drop by their wonderful, historic offices to help fill their jar again.

Oh, and bring a new jar.
