If you live in East Dallas, chances are you already know David Collier.

Not only does he seem to nab some of the most fabulous remodeled homes in the area, but he also works hard to be a part of the community, sponsoring school activities and really putting himself out there. Besides being a tireless volunteer, he also works hard to do business the right way, with thoughtfulness and integrity.

We couldn’t think of any better reasons to recognize Collier as our High-Caliber Agent, sponsored by Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans. When you’re ready to buy or sell, make sure that you partner with agents and lenders of the highest caliber, like David Collier and Lisa Peters.

Real estate is a very competitive business. To what or whom do you owe your success?

Collier: I’ve been in the real estate business for 22 years. That investment and commitment overall has come very easy to me, for the most part, because I love what I do. I love architecture, I love the art of discovering homes and neighborhoods, I love interacting with people, and as a Dallas native, I love Dallas and the idea of preserving and facilitating a thriving city and community. I believe and know that if you are passionate about something, it tends to pay off.

Outside of day-to-day business, what are you passionate about?

Collier: As a father to two young children who attend our incredible DISD neighborhood school, I saw firsthand the enormous needs that the Dallas public school systems have in order to better not only my own children’s futures, but the futures of all children and their surrounding communities. I dedicated a lot of my time and invest my money into the ideals of greater public school education. My family time is very important, so when I am not in Dallas, we spend as many weekends as possible at our cabin in Broken Bow, Okla.

What (or who) is your inspiration?

Collier: My internal inspiration comes from a deep desire to exceed my clients’ expectations. My professional inspiration has come from working within the same firm for the entirety of my 22 year career. As I have grown and matured in this industry, I found that surrounding myself with professionals who today are like family within David Griffin & Company Realtors, I am inspired to not only succeed professionally, but personally.

Why is finding the right lender crucial to your success?

Collier: There are so many moving parts in any real estate transaction: Client, Other Agent, Title Company, and Loan Officer. We all work together to get the property closed. One weak link makes a major difference in the type of service and satisfaction that I strive to provide to my clients. When I have complete confidence in the lender, that’s one aspect of a transaction that I don’t have to worry about. It is great to know, for both me and my client, that when a loan officer tells you they can “get it done,” they really can GET IT DONE. Lisa Peters with Caliber Home Loans is that loan officer for me!
