Open house: Saturday, Feb. 20, 2-4 p.m.

The home at 4231 Merrell Rd. in Northwest Dallas is total eye candy. Built in 1952, it’s now one of the most stylish and memorable properties in the area. It’s a 2-2 with 1,571 square feet, located near Midway Road and Royal Lane.

Nothing about this ranch is status quo, from the saturated blue-and-orange exterior to the ultra chic metal fireplace in the living room (and look at that awesome ceiling!). The colorful style carries throughout the house, with an orange oven in the kitchen and beautiful blue tiles in the bathrooms. All impressive. It was listed yesterday by Clay Stapp with Clay Stapp + Co. for $699,000.

Open house: Saturday, Feb. 20, 1-4 p.m.

Hollywood/Santa Monica in East Dallas is one of hottest neighborhoods in all of Dallas. The home at 7007 Lindsley Ave. is one example of why—this area is full of lovely Tudors like this one (although this is one of the best renovations we’ve seen).

This is a 2-1 with 1,169 square feet, built in 1926, near Garland Road and La Vista Drive. Look at that curb appeal and those stunning stained glass windows! The kitchen is updated with a large gas cooktop, cabinets galore, and granite countertops. Original arched doorways and an original fireplace add to the vintage charm, and there’s room for expansion of this home (plan available upon request). It was listed Feb. 6 by Shelley Nunley with RE/MAX DFW Associates for $365,000.

It’s one of the Flora Street Townhomes in the Roseland neighborhood near Central Expressway and North Hall Street. The townhome has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a powder room, with 1,979 square feet, built in 2013. This is an end unit with an oversized rooftop deck offering unobstructed views of downtown and a private fenced yard in front.

Inside, the home has custom hardwood flooring, window coverings, and light fixtures. The open floorplan maximizes the space, and the kitchen is a dream, with custom cabinets, a quartz island, a contemporary backsplash, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas cooktop. The GE refrigerator and a Samsung washer-dryer convey with sale of the townhome. It was listed yesterday by Stephanie Strangis with Dave Perry-Miller InTown for $440,000, and the monthly HOA fees are $110.
