OPEN HOUSE: Saturday, Dec. 5, 2-4 p.m.

We love the dynamic partnership of Realtor Barbara Arredondo and creative genius Summer Riggins. They’ve scored an A+ again with the house at 559 Classen Dr. in Old Lake Highlands. It’s a 3-2 with 1,309 square feet, tastefully renovated to make the most of the footprint and retain lots of vintage charm.

A bright yellow door greets you, before you enter the living room, where original refinished hardwoods wow. A new dining area has a cozy built-in bench, and the kitchen renovation brought in new ceramic flooring, wood cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, Dec. 6, 2-4 p.m.

We featured the Montebello Park home at 4207 Camden Ave. back in June when it was on the market for 27 days before the seller pulled it. Maybe she had second thoughts about selling this cute house that is so much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. It’s got 2,802 square feet on two stories with four bedroom, two full bathrooms, a half bath, two living areas, and two dining areas. That’s a lot of house!

This 1939 cottage is inside the Stonewall Jackson Elementary attendance area, near Mockingbird and Skillman. That’s a sought-after location in Dallas, and the myriad updates throughout the home are well-planned. The exterior has a fresh blue color, and walls of windows make the interior bright. There’s a butler’s pantry, mud room, and tons of storage, as well as a remodeled kitchen with granite counters. The master bath reno created a frameless glass shower with white subway tile, a slipper tub, and white marble everywhere. All four bedrooms have walk-in closets, too.

It was listed Dec. 1 by Kendal Cook with Rogers Healy And Associates for $510,000, and 1 percent of the sale of this home will be donated to the Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas in memory of owners’ dog. Nice.
