Twice a year, Champions School of Real Estate hosts career fairs for any and everyone interested in the industry. Whether you’re inspired to become a Realtor, appraiser, inspector … or one of the hundreds of other real estate-related careers, Champions School flings open its doors in Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio so you can see if it’s the right career for you.

Despite weather challenges, Champions School of Real Estate’s most recent career fair on Oct. 30 was a huge hit. According to public relations rep Karla Lárraga, 150 attendees braved the rain for the Dallas career fair and met with one of the 42 brokerages presenting.

“Interest in real estate-related careers is absolutely increasing,”Lárraga said. “We’re seeing a surge of interest throughout the entire state, which comes to no surprise given that five of the top 20 fastest growing cities in the United States are in Texas and the fact that at its current pace, 2015 could surpass 2007 as a record year for Texas home sales.”

Some of the fastest-growing, highest-grossing brokerages were on site for the Dallas career fair at Champions School of Real Estate, including several Keller Williams offices, Vivo Realty Group, and Coldwell Banker Apex. But given the flurry of activity in our market with homes selling at such a brisk clip, is now a good time to become a real estate professional?

“If an individual is considering changing to a career in real estate, now is the time,”Lárraga said. “Based on the companies moving to Texas, The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University predicts our economy will continue to grow over the next 10-plus years with a boom year possible in 2017. Texas is seeing the most active inflow of population from California, Florida, and Louisiana. It would truly be a missed opportunity to not launch a real estate career in this economy!”

How’s that for an answer? If you missed out on this career fair, don’t worry. Champions School of Real Estate will host another one in the spring of 2016. To stay in the loop, follow Champions School on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
