Neighbors of Alger Park Home That Caught Fire Raise Funds For Burned Dog

There were two victims of the fire that engulfed the garage at 9924 Carnegie last night, one of which was a puppy who didn’t survive the blaze, and another is Chachi, who sustained burns and smoke inhalation. Both were trapped inside the home where Dallas police officers and firefighters discovered a marijuana grow operation, but only Chachi made it out.

Now neighbors are rallying for the dog, hoping to raise enough money for his mounting medical bills.

“The first night at Hillside was $1,700 and they’re anticipating him being there for several days,” said Marc Chartrand, one of the neighbors. They’ve set a fundraising goal of $5,000 in hopes of paying off what will be a long road to recovery for Chachi. You can donate to the animal’s recovery and receive updates via the GoFundMe page.

Poor angels, we will surely help Chachi. Folks, remember to keep your pets as safe as your children!
