First of all, relax: he is not going anywhere but downtown. Or shall I say, Uptown. Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is staying right here in Big D, just changing his address. He and his wife, Donna, have decided to list the stunning Park Cities home on Greenbrier Drive for sale with agent to the athletes Jamie Adams of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. Jamie, as you know, is the go-to guy for star athletes like Dirk Nowitzki, Daryl Johnston, Nolan Ryan, Sean Marion, and more we probably don’t know about.

A two-story, French-style custom home listed at a mere $3,134,700. The 5935 square foot home was built in 2007 by Woldt Custom Builders on a sunny .22 acre University Heights lot and has five bedrooms, five full baths with two half baths. The home is a designer’s showcase with wide-plank, coffee-stained oak floors, custom wall finishes, wood beams, two staircases, three fireplaces, state of the art electronics, and a kitchen that will score with the world’s best chef: limestone, granite, Wolf, Sub-Zero and Asko. Try two dishwashers, double farmhouse sinks, and gorgeous custom cabinetry. Shall we name drop any more? How about the second floor master suite with enough Ann Sacks tile and marble to start your own showroom. And it would be a WET showroom! There is a a huge spa shower with multiple jets (great after tough game nights) and a soaking jetted tub. Plus the bath is large enough to hold a dressing table right in the middle of the room.

Interesting that the master is upstairs in this home, complete with tons of storage. But the guest quarters are down for privavcy and could, I suppose, become the master if need be. Surely there is room for an elevator, if not one already. And let us not forget the wine grotto closet and full bar with marble and mahogany cabinetry.

“This stunning property is the perfect blend of formal and relaxed living,” Adams says. “It’s a wonderful home for entertaining.”

The yard features a large fireplace across the yard, and an outdoor kitchen with grill; no pool, but room for one. Or at least a pretty large spa. And of course, who can beat this location? GetMedia Greenbrier-Rick-Carlisle_143022
