Lofts are great for people who want wide-open floorplans, high ceilings, and great views, but sometimes lofts can feel somewhat cramped with small square-footage and bathrooms that feel like converted closets. That’s what makes this doubled-up unit inside the SoCo building so unique. Not only does it have fantastic downtown views thanks to its spot on the ninth floor, eight-foot windows, exposed brick, and upgraded fixtures, but it has 2,172 square feet.

I love that you get sweeping views of the new Omni Downtown Dallas hotel and Reunion Tower from the ninth floor perch of this stunning historic loft, Unit 903 at 1122 Jackson Street, the SoCo Lofts building. The building, which was one of the first loft conversions downtown, was built in 1925. It’s now one of only a handful of downtown properties with historic designation. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is on the market for $399,000.
When the owner of this doubled-up unit closed, this condo was a sorry sight, Habgood said. “The current owner has completely redone this unit with a sense of style and a focus on quality details,” he said. “The owner is in the travel business and has a great sense of style. This unit was in terrible condition when he bought it, and he has rehabbed the whole place.”
You’ll want to pay close attention to the antique and custom walnut doors throughout the unit, especially the hand-carved double door that leads to the master suite. This home also has fantastic upgraded lighting, a wall-mounted computerized aquarium that adds a sleek contemporary ambiance, a custom sliding mirror that covers the TV when not in use, an open kitchen with a breakfast bar, stained concrete floors that have a surprisingly warm feel, a huge window seat, and distinctive bathrooms.
Habgood says that this unit has sweeping downtown views, and you can seen the Calatrava bridge and the most beautiful sunsets over West Dallas. on the roof is a fantastic pool and deck, and there’s a completely redone fitness center in the building. This unit also gets two garage spaces. HOA dues are $826 monthly.
LOVE this gorgeous listing! Excited that it’s open this Sunday 2-4pm.
Now that’s a fabulous loft! Those concrete floors are perfect and love all the windows.
As a frequent guest for visits from LA, I can attest this home is amazing! When visiting, I would sit at the towering windows for hours to take in the view and watch the sunsets! This is truly a one-of-a-kind home! I wish I lived in Dallas so I could buy it!
