But this time, he has sleeked it up, sharpened the corners with a totally modern elevation on an oversized treed lot in the Enclave. 1807 Tucker Drive is a Cul du Sac street — love them — loaded with new homes, all by award-winning local builders. It’s a few steps from Santa Fe Trail, White Rock Lake and the new YMCA, which my daughter tells me is going to be awesome and she is going to join.

As pretty and toned as it is from the front drive up exterior, the home’s “ah ha” moment comes when you walk in the front door. Rich hand-scraped hardwoods great you, as well as plenty of natural light. The downstairs floor plan is open and flows, from the elegant “wedding photo” staircase to the dark, rich hardwoods.
