It seems that Tom and Cinda Hicks are getting ready to build another vacation home in La Jolla. We know they already have one place on the water in that delectable beach town, bought in 1994 for $1.875 million, but according to my colleague, Neil Leitereg at The LA Times, Tom and Cinda have purchased a circa 1950’s home on a corner lot within walking distance of La Jolla Bay.

NICE LOCATION!

The home is 1661 square feet with three bedrooms and three full baths, which tells me they will just scrape it and build a new vacation pad. This is going to be so exciting to watch!

I guess it’s time to dial up Doug Newby to see if they have had any movement on the Crespi Estate over there on Walnut Hill Lane , which he is selling off market for $135 million, though I have heard that Tom is willing to split up the property and maybe sell off the house in one bundle, some of the acreage in another.

In any case, with the exception of The Waggoner Ranch, the Crespi estate remains the most expensive home for sale in the U.S.

I’m fixing to pay a visit the The Waggoner, so stay tuned.
