Thursday Three Hundred: Super Hot Mid-Mod in Lakeland Hills Gives Me Chills!
Share News:
This house is pretty much the sexiest. From the first time I saw this beautifully redone midcentury modern in Lakeland Hills, I was in love. Just positively smitten. It’s totally remodeled with everything you want including a brand new kitchen and it’s inside Richardson ISD.
And did I mention that it’s sexy? Because it totally is!
This gorgeous home was taken to the studs and built back up with some really cool design features. It has three bedrooms, two baths, and more than 1,600 square feet of super sleek interiors with brick, tile, marble, glass, and stainless steel. The amazing midcentury modern home, built in 1956, at 8911 Rolling Rock is marketed by Dallas City Center Realtor Allan Hamilton for $299,900 (OK, it’s almost $300K, but seriously I think it might be a bit undervalued!!!).
This area is just east of the L Streets and is on its way to becoming the next big booming investment area. And it’s homes like these, ones with great bones and tons of potential that will take this neighborhood through the next level. And boy, there are so many things to love about this home. Tons of great details including the aqua front door, the dividing screen off the entry, the beautiful accent wall next to the kitchen, and the chrome and stainless fixtures.
My favorite part might just be the master suite in this house, which has wonderful windows, a modern ceiling fan, gorgeous hardwood floors, and a fantastic walk-in closet. That thing is just gigantic for a home this size! Also check out the modern bathroom with marble counters and chrome fixtures. I’m bummed that there’s just a shower, but really, I’ll guess that they took some of the square-footage of the bathroom off to make the closet as large as it is. If that’s the case, I’m cool with it!
Also lovely is the backyard, which, after some creative landscaping could be really gorgeous. I suggest putting a shade sail or a cover over that little patio to make it more friendly for year-round enjoyment.
What do you think?
That backyard is a wonderful blank canvas. I can envision it being turned into a lovely oasis.
