*Cue the “Law & Order” theme song*

This just in from Sachse, where a family staged their gorgeous home and then put it on the market on Friday. Thanks to their talented Realtor and a ton of hard work, they received several attractive offers that weekend. On Sunday, one lucky bidder accepted their counter, and like that, the home was under contract.

But, selling on a weekend can be both a blessing and a curse, as many buyers may have scheduled your home as a stop on their frenzied search for housing in North Texas, a market that is so short on inventory and high on demand that it is driving buyers to the brink.

So, even though this family had already accepted an offer and the property was under contract, desperate buyers were knocking on a neighbor’s door, trying to get a key to get into the home! As if that wasn’t enough, they attempted to get a view of the backyard by parking their pickup truck around the home and standing on the truck bed to get a gander.

Enough was enough, said the seller, and she called the police to station a patrol car outside her house to keep the crazy buyers at bay. Here’s hoping that, when they hear it’s already been sold, they don’t charge into uncharted crazy territory like this San Diego-area woman.
