Candy’s Lease of The Week: Brand New Palm Terrace Townhomes Offer Luxury and Location

Palm Terrace Outside

I love brand new rentals! They have that new-car-like smell to them and they feel like a good pair of shoes that no one else has tried on. Being the first-ever tenant in a new development is pretty great, and if you want to move into a great, brand new townhome, this week’s featured lease is for you.

Local Dwelling’s Jason Lucas is showcasing units from Palm Terrace Townhomes near Greenville Avenue. There are 12 total three-floor townhomes at 5918 and 5922 Ross Avenue. They rent for $1,500 a month and have some cool features you won’t get anywhere else in this price range and at this location — a gorgeous all-stainless kitchen and a rooftop deck.

Palm Terrace Kitchen to Living

You get hand-scraped hardwoods, wrought-iron fixtures and railings, a fireplace, and granite counters in this two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath townhome. There’s 1,100 square feet of living space and a ground-floor, two-car garage.

Palm Terrace Master

The master suite includes a huge walk-in closet. And while there is carpet in the second bedroom, the hardwoods extend to the master. Note to developers: If I want carpet in my bedroom, I’ll buy a rug.

Palm Terrace Master Bath

The master bath is beautiful. I like the use of the oil-rubbed bronze fixtures and shower glass surround rather than nickel-plated or chrome. The vanity is definitely high-end and adds tons more storage.

Palm Terrace Rooftop

Here’s the rub, though — while this is a two-bedroom townhome, it’s not roommate friendly considering that there’s only one full bath. This home is best for a single professional or a young couple who wants to be close to both downtown and the nightlife of Greenville Avenue and needs space for an office or study.
