Tuesday Two Hundred: Everything’s Brand New Inside This Great Lake Terrace Midcentury

This neighborhood is so hot guys! If you’re within a few yards of Peavy Road, you know that there are some great houses on the market in this area, which is super close to White Rock Lake and inside the Hexter Elementary attendance zone.

I pass by this house almost daily, and it has been on the market for quite some time. It was in less-than-great shape when it first hit MLS as a FSBO, but since then it has been completely remodeled and is in turnkey condition.

There are three bedrooms, two baths, and 1,452 square feet inside 821 Peavy Road. Like a lot of 1950s-era homes, there is a generous car port. The only other downside to this house is the wall of windows that gives you a front-and-center view of said car port. I think that’s probably why this home won’t break the $210,000 price barrier. In fact, i’m sure you could probably bid at around $200,000 fair and square. Maybe you can get past all that by transforming the car port into a front porch sitting area and keeping your Prius in the garage?

The kitchen has all the right touches, and I love the color of the cabinets. The bathrooms, one of which has an outstanding shower with a half wall for a little privacy, are done with low-maintenance finishes that are great for families.

The backyard just got a new privacy fence and a layer of sod, so it’s a blank slate. I’m sure it would be perfect for a vegetable garden and maybe a chicken coop.

So, what do you think is a fair price for this home?
