Grey Thursday Three Hundred: Sometimes Drive-Up Appeal is Overrated…When You Have All This Behind the House

If it’s woods you want, and fabulous creek views only 2 blocks from White Rock Lake well, this Frontier is for you!

Since we were busy in the kitchen most of Thursday, we are bringing you this week’s Thursday $300K a bit late. But make no doubt, 3820 Frontier is well worth the wait while we all roasted and then consumed enormous amounts of turkey. Speaking of turkeys, this one could serve up a 25 pound bird with no problemo and handle a whole houseful of guests.  Let’s start with 1839 square feet, just enough for three bedrooms, two baths, one dining area (for the holidays) and two living areas. The kitchen has been totally updated with stainless steel appliances and granite and is open to the living areas so you can chat while you cook. The bathrooms have also been updated, which is what I really like about this house — money was put in the places that count. You’ve got hardwoods everywhere, slate in the kitchen, a walk-in closet in the master and a knock out master bath. The secondary bathroom is a little on the small side, but I am wondering if another bath could be added elsewhere making this the power room. While the front of this home may not exactly make your fingers do the walking, look at that deck in the back! To die for. I know this street — have friends who live a few doors down and that creek view is priceless. In fact, their home was taken over for a few weeks a couple summers ago by a film crew while my friends were paid to stay at the Ritz! And yes, you guessed it: this is an artists’ home, who has, no doubt, been inspired by the vast nature around her.

There is only a one car garage, which I would expand. I also think the front of the house could be dramatically improved to turn up the curb appeal. I’m thinking some major shrub trimming, a new front door and maybe paint the brick?

The only other thing I will caution you is to get a mosquito mister system thrown into the package because of all the trees. Because if it’s woods you want, and fabulous creek views only 2 blocks from White Rock Lake, well, this Frontier is for you!
