Monday Morning Millionaire: Gorgeous Modern Home in The Cloisters Was a Four-Year Labor of Love

Share News:

And a gorgeous one at that. I think I’ve found my dream home, folks! This beautiful Cliff Welch-designed home in the Cloisters is perfect! You’re close to the lake, you get Lakewood schools (DISD), and it’s an incredibly private enclave!

I am a sucker for modern design, especially homes that have been designed with their surroundings in mind. This home is split into two segments: Living and Sleeping. The living quarters are actually on the second floor of the main home, which results in a treehouse feel. The floor-to-ceiling windows with views of mature trees just outside the living room are swoon-worthy. So is that fabulous fireplace!

Other wonderful things about this house include: An amazing chef’s kitchen with Miele, Sub Zero, and Bosch appliances. It’s a super-sleek galley-style creation with dark grey cabinets and gleaming white counters.

There are four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a media room, a music room, and a two-car garage accessed by a sunken driveway. The sparkling terrazzo floors go from wall-to-wall, giving all 4,835 square feet of this home a continuous, open feel.

What I am truly in love with is the back of the house. The rear yard, which you can access through the second floor via a beautiful spiral staircase, is one of those places that will get you nominated for hosting charity luncheons year after year. I love how the trees surrounding the home were kept intact, especially the large evergreen notched into the patio. The glass railing surrounding the terrace is beautiful, too.

There’s so much to love about this house, and the price tag shows it — 4755 Chapel Hill, marketed by David Collier of David Griffin & Company Realtors, is priced at $2.95 million. I guess it will have to remain a dream home …

This is a fantastic house. I know the discerning couple that had it built and it's flawless!

Mr. Collier always has cool properties, and this one is one of the best I've seen in a long time! Kudos to the sellers for creating such an amazing place. I wish I could write a check for it today.

You can't buy a garage for $3 mm in Kukio……….you mean $ 30 million, correct?
