Tuesday Two Hundred: Another Diamond-In-The-Rough Mid-Mod For Less Than $200K!

Share News:

This Tuesday $200K, 9907 Estacado marketed by Patricia Aguirre, came to me as I was jogging about my neighborhood. I often pass this little house as I make my rounds with Cooper in the stroller, and when I first saw the Keller Williams sign pop up in the front yard, I was certain it wouldn’t be there long.

After all, houses like that one don’t stick around. It looked to be a single-owner type property that sits on a corner lot and backs up to a creek. And it’s midcentury modern, to boot!

Just for giggles I decided to look it up last week, and not only is this three-bedroom, two bath time machine still on the market, but it was just reduced by $1,000 to $197,500!

This home has pretty much all of the original touches you want in a mid-mod, like wood paneling out the ying-yang, a cool atomic-style den light, floor-to-ceiling windows, clerestory windows, and even more windows!

Everything is super clean, too. The kitchen, while all white and totally desperate for some sleek counters and classy tile, gleams.

The bathrooms, well, they have Daltile. The Jack-and-Jill bathroom sports a pink and burgundy color scheme, while the master bath has some wallpaper in it that makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it.

It’s the backyard, the swingin’ patio and the sprawling, treed lot that have me drooling. Look at all of that space! This house, which is 2,180 square feet, sits on almost a half acre!

So, what are you waiting for? Go buy this house and get it ready for a skinny tie and a Manhattan!

Now that is a find! I'd update the kitchen of course, but I think I'd keep that wood in the den. Maybe bleach it? Bamboo would be awesome there. But that yard! I may buy it just for the yard!!!

I live pretty close to this house over at the end of Mariposa, creek in the backyard. Lots of interesting houses for sale in our neighborhood. Like the big house across Ash Creek from this one with the bridge over the creek and lots of yard and house: http://www.ebby.com/property/15276729/9850-Ash-Creek-Drive-Dallas-TX-75228-3662 And the one next door to this that looks sort of A-frame: http://www.ebby.com/property/15100171/9915-Estacado-Drive-Dallas-TX-75228-3650 Not to mention this beauty further down on Ash Creek towards Buckner with the backyard to die for: http://www.ebby.com/property/15591289/9568-Ash-Creek-DALLAS-TX-75228 If you want new and modern, they've cleared out six lots on Oates that back to the creek and are advertising new modern builds: http://www.ebby.com/property/12048786/1411-Oates-Drive-Dallas-TX-75228

I grew up not too far from Estacado and, yes, I went to Bryan Adams, CLASS OF ????…well, let's just say I graduated. This house is so cute and that backyard is outstanding! I sent this to a couple of buyer clients and hope one of them has some interest. I would love to sell this one!
